This hand painted stoneware 11 3/4" lidded stein was made in Germany. The 1st in DC Comics Character stein series. The 3D figural stein depicts Batman atop a high-rise building, vigilantly guarding Gotham City. A seperately sculptured raised pewter "Batman" title is applied to the front of the stein. 5014 - "BATMAN" RAISED RELIEF lidded stein. This 10" raised relief lidded stein depicts Batman & Robin responding to the nightime Bat signal with a Gotham City skyline in the background lit by a full moon. Our two heroes appear on a roof top framed by pillars and gargoyles. The Batman title appears at the bottom of the stein. The decorated domed pewter lid features a minature figurine of Batman. Made of stoneware with pewter lid. An officially licensed product of DC Comics. Generic box.

5015 - 1997 "SUPERMAN" CHARACTER lidded stein. This hand painted stoneware 12" lidded stein was made in Germany. The 2nd and last in DC Comics Character stein series. (Series cut short due to problems in manufacturing) The 3D figural stein showcases Superman in his classic famous powerful pose, with his hands on his hips, guarding the city of Metropolis, which is seen behind him. A seperately sculpted raised pewter "Superman" title is applied to the front of the stein. The stylized thumblift is in the shape of the Daily Planet globe. 5016 - "SUPERMAN" RAISED RELIEF lidded stein.
This 9 3/4" lidded stein depicts three classic raised-relief and handpainted scenes of Superman. The main subject shows him breaking through a brick wall. The left panel depicts him exiting the Daily Planet building; the right panel shows him soaring above the stratosphere. The "Superman" title appears below the front panel. The handle is adorned with the famous "S" shield. The domed lid is inspired by the planet earth's spherical shape and a minature pewter Superman figurine serves as the finial.
