MILLER CHARACTER STEINS
6810 - "MILLER GIRL in the MOON" Character lidded stein. This 10" handpainted 3D relief stein was made in Germany. Loretta Miller Kopmeier, the original "Girl in the Moon" and granddaughter of Miller Brewing Company founder, Frederick Miller, was about 12 or 13 years old at the turn of the century, when her father, Carl Miller, took her on a visit of the brewery that he headed. In the dining room he sat her down and she held her hand up dramatically. That became an inspiration to her father. She became the model for the Girl in the Moon. Celestial bodies appear against the spacious skies. The Girl in the Moon sits amidst clouds and stars. The handle is in the shape of a glass "Miller" pilsner with froth, replicating the glass in the girl's hand. Individually numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Boxed.
